On May 26, 2007, DEBUT LIT hosted a West Coast party and reading for RANDOM HOUSE author Phil LaMarche and his acclaimed debut novel American Youth at private art salon, The Hive, in San Francisco. The event was attended by nearly 100 people and featured music, an art show, a wine pouring by sponsor LeVin Winery, and video installations. On April 21, 2007, DEBUT LIT ushered in its first release party and reading for LaMarche at the KGB Bar in New York City. DEBUT LIT also welcomed Christian TeBordo, author of The Conviction and Subsequent Life of Savior Neck from Spuyten Duyvil press.
